"While pregnant, my pre-natal yoga instructor would encourage us to imagine a 'special place' during relaxation exercises. I used to imagine a warm, sunny beach. Then I met Jill and now I imagine a Karool massage. Sometimes I combine the two! Every massage i've had with Jill, pre- and post-labour, has been a wonderful, nurturing experience that has helped me re-energize for the task nurturing my new baby."Sept 11

"I met Jill when overdue with our second baby, suffering from a very drawn out pre-labour that made life really hard.  An induction massage the midwife suggested...? I was given a lovely little card for Karool.
Lying with my uncomfortable pregnant body on the table allowed me to take some time out from the rigours of those last couple of weeks of pregnancy and to slip away to a relaxing place.  It was an important tools to tune in to what my body (and Jill!) was telling me... wait, this baby will come.
My body got more and more ready to have our baby and Jill was a vital person in helping relax about an overdue, pre-labouring birth that just never seemed to want to arrive.  Jill also helped by showing me the pressure points that became more and more sore before labour really arrived this was great to help me to trust that I was getting ready.
And finally our baby arrived.  But I didn’t stop seeing Jill for massages, just now I get to lie face down on the table and slip away into relaxing bliss with some much needed respite from how busy that new baby is!"

"Heavily pregnant my back ached, my feet swelled and sleeplessness became my new foe.  Then Jill and her magic hands were recommended to me!

And so began a journey, for an hour a week, into the most wonderful calm world that not only relieved aches and pains, but eased away stress and tension.  After each session I would float home with an overwhelming feeling of wellbeing and connection to my body and baby.

Beyond the massage itself, Jill provided incredible support.  Her knowledge of pregnancy and her ability to point me to fantastic resources was beyond anything that could have been expected.  Anything from supports for sleep, ideas for relieving sore muscles and ligaments at home, natural pain relief for labour to baby slings!  If I asked - Jill was onto it.

Jill is a treasure.

With love

Methods - Pregnancy Massage

Touching the Future-This massage has been designed for the special needs of the pregnant woman. It changes and adapts throughout the trimesters. Massage during pregnancy will help to relieve aches and pains, promote blood flow, give relief from fluid retention (reduce swelling) and aid in relaxation. It is widely thought that regular massage throughout the pregnancy can reduce the labour time. This massage can create significant physiological, structural, psychological, relational and spiritual changes in a woman’s life.

A relaxing and rejuvenating experience for mothers and their bubs to be.  A pregnancy massage is a beneficial physical experience as well as emotionally relaxing.  Pregnancy impacts the body in many ways, from increases in blood volume to extra weight on the skeleton, it can make moving through space challenging at best.  A pregnancy massage provides a bit of relief while facilitating better health for mother and child.  Pre/Post Natal massage provides a well-deserved break for the new mother.  (Note: New dads often find they enjoy the benefits a Karool Massage offers them as well).

Post-Natal Massage—Giving birth is a truly miraculous experience on many levels.  A woman’s body, mind, and spirit are transformed.  With all the changes and endless nurturing to the new bub, and perhaps other children in tow, now is a wonderful time to give the gift of massage to this amazing ‘Earth Mother’.  The benefits of a Karool Massage are far reaching  for women who have recently given birth.  Aches are lessened, energy is boosted, and the women’s natural Endorphins are released as the body relaxes from this beautiful therapeutic massage.  You’ll leave refreshed and ready to see your baby again.  A mini vacation just down the street.  You’ll love it!

Infant Massage—Infant massage class available upon request.  Massage techniques from India and Sweden are the primary methods explored in the 2 hr class.  Infant massage can begin from the moment the bub comes into the world.  Giving an infant massage is soothing and therapeutic for the baby, and it relaxes you too.  This gift will enable you to massage your child as he/she grows, a very bonding experience for all. Class held at Narrabundah Business Park.

Infant massage  strengthens the immune system, stimulates digestion, relieves gas, colic, promotes restful sleep, and encourages development and so much more.

Testimonials

I have enjoyed massaging our kids with simple techniques, but Jill was able to talk me through a flowing baby massage that offers our babies the kind of relaxing experience we get when Jill is at work!  What a dear way to relax parent, baby, moisturise their skin and support their growth.  Thanks, I am better for knowing that a massage is more than just applying the oil to their skin.
